GTST will be launching its brand new merchandise ranges at the GTFC Fun Day this Sunday (29th July). Having had to abandon the idea of a calendar due to receiving insufficient photographic submissions of Harry the Haddock on holiday, it seemed a shame not to put to good use the marvellous photos we already had, the majority of which were taken by Trust member Alison Taylor on her travels. So instead of a calendar, we have produced the “Harry Round the World” merchandise range of keyrings, fridge magnets, coasters and mousemats. The designs include Harry at Karnak, the Taj Mahal and the Pyramids, with the Sphinx, the Statue of Liberty and members of the cast of Neighbours and also at the Amsterdam Sex Museum. The same items are also available in the SWWF Merchandise range, which features the brilliant artwork of Jim Connor. The Mariners legends captured include John McDermott, Paul Futcher, Ivano Bonetti, Paul Groves, Matt Tees, Tony Ford, Lawrie McMenemy, Bob Cumming, Jack Lewis, John Cockerill, Stacy the Yard Dog, Stuart Brace, Tommy Briggs, as well as the current management, the Wembley ’98 team and a special design celebrating Justin Whittle’s memorable encounter with Alan Shearer. Keyrings, fridge magnets and coasters will all cost £1 each, with mousemats retailing at £3 each and for those of you unable to attend the Fun Day on Sunday, the merchandise ranges will be available to buy from the GTST Online Shop in early August. The Trust will also be running a prize-every-time tombola at the Fun Day, with the star prize a mascot package, as well as promoting its new Junior Mariner scheme, so please come on down and visit our stall.
