Congratulations to our friend and Trust member Raphael Axiak and his team mates, who were recently crowned five-a-side champions in Gozo, Malta.

In a tense end to the season, the Maltese Mariners finished joint leaders with Liverpool S.C. and a play-off game took place to determine which team would win the league.

We are delighted to report that after the game finished 1-1, the Maltese Mariners won the decider 4-2 on penalties and here are the team pictured with the championship trophy.

Congratulations to Raphael and his team-mates, Frans Saliba, Sam Anthony Cauchi, Michael Pace, Tony Borg & Mario Bonello on winning the league and we hope to see some of them here at Blundell Park later in the season.
