GTST has recently written to all of its Junior Mariners, who joined the scheme before the end of last season. 

At the time when they joined the Trust, part of the membership package was a Christmas party (subject to numbers). Unfortunately, the Trust's well-documented problems during the past year have meant that no-one on the Trust Board had either the spare time or the necessary experience to organise such an event. In addition, it would have been difficult to come up with a party  which would have appealed to a membership which ranges between two and fifteen years old.

As a result, we have now admitted defeat and have written to all our junior members to inform them that unfortunately there will be no party.

To make up for any disappoint caused, we made the decision to give every Junior Mariner their second year's membership for FREE and by now they should all have received their new membership cards and certificates.

Although a party is no longer included in the package, the Junior Mariner scheme still offers excellent value for money, as it entitles members to:

• A birthday card signed by their favourite GTFC player
• A signed photo of their favourite GTFC player
• Entry into a draw for the chance to be a GTFC mascot
• Entry into a draw for the chance to win a GTFC signed shirt
• 10% discount at the GTFC Club Shop
• Discounted prices on Football in the Community schemes
• A copy of the bi-annual GTST members newsletter

All for only £5 a year.
