GTST WELCOMES WOODS APPOINTMENT |

Grimsby Town Supporters' Trust welcomes the appointment of Neil Woods as Manager of Grimsby Town FC and we wish him every success in the role. His promotion to the position full time will, we hope, inspire the squad anew, bring to an end the underachievement on the field and ensure that GTFC is re-established as a competitive football team which can soon challenge for promotion.
Our club has
a long and proud history. Neil Woods has already played a successful
part in that history - both as a player and youth team manager. With
the full support of his squad and fans alike he has every chance of
repeating this success as manager. We hope that the players will give
the manager every ounce of effort for the rest of the season, and begin
to restore the belief and pride that has been in short supply at
Blundell Park of late.
We also urge fans to get behind Neil
and the team from the off. League survival is far from guaranteed. The
backing of our supporters both in terms of attendances and their vocal
support at matches has never been more vital as GTFC fights to improve
its currently perilous position.
