It’s been another successful month for the Supporters’ Trust with over £500 being raised for the Keep The Mariners Afloat campaign following the Family Fun Day at People’s Park and a flurry of new memberships. This money takes the total now raised to over £16,000!
The major fundraiser since our last update was of course the Family Fun Day where members of the public flocked to the Grimsby Town area of People's Park throughout the day to meet the players and management.
The Supporters’ Trust provided a great selection of games, competitions and prizes which appealed to the younger visitors in particular. Two young fans were lucky enough to win signed Town shirts! Congratulations also go to Freya Parrott whose guess of the number of chocolate footballs in the jar was nearest to the total of 254. Freya walked away with the whole jar full as her prize!!
Coming up this month is the Supporters' Trust Quiz Night at McMenemy’s on Tuesday 13th at 7:30pm. Russell Slade and members of the Town squad will be there to take part and meet the fans. Tickets are only £2 each and are available from the Club Shop. Teams of up to 5 players are welcome so make sure you come along to what promises to be an entertaining night.
Then it’s the big one! Tottenham Hotspur are coming to town on Tuesday 20th September in the second round of the Carling Cup. This promises to be a great occasion and the Trust hopes to use this game as a good fund raising opportunity. Further details will be available nearer the date but if you have any ideas of how we can maximise this opportunity, please contact us at
